After healing my own body by including lots of raw, plant-based foods in my diet (read my story here), and teaching hundreds of people how to make easy raw food meals in live classes over the past 5 years, I’ve learned a thing or too about what life is like for you around trying to make this lifestyle work consistently:

  • You love raw plant foods, and want to eat more of them, but just can’t get your head around exactly how to make that your reality every single day.

  • You get discouraged when raw food seems to take up so much time and planning.

  • With the best of intentions you go out and buy the freshest ingredients, but are so random with meal planning that, frustratingly, most of it turns rotten in the back of the fridge.

  • When you do eat raw food you don’t understand why you still have cravings and slip back into old negative eating patterns.

​

  • You don’t know what to replace your regular favourite processed foods with and can’t resist dipping into the stash of chocolate bars in the drawer.

​

  • Your kitchen is so disorganised that you never feel inspired to create delicious fresh meals for yourself.

​

  • For the sake of not rocking the boat you normally eat the food your family prefers, or what's most convenient, neglecting your own real needs and desires around food.

​

  • You feel guilty that you’re not taking care of your health properly, have had some health scares already, or anxious that there could be problems lurking just around the corner if you don’t start making your health a priority right now. 

​

  • You’re tired of diets and deprivation, have Googled nutrition to the point of confusion and now you’re desperate to get the how-to's sorted without the overwhelm.

  • Because you prioritise everyone else’s needs above yours, your own energy stores have become depleted, you’re not sleeping well, and you feel under-nourished and over-tired.

I’ve not only learned the practicalities and best hacks to making a raw food lifestyle work with ease, but along the way have also discovered a thing or too about why we sabotage even our very best intentions to eat healthy.

​

Most of the time, we're making food choices based on our emotional state.  When we clean out the "gunk" with clean, living foods food we become more in tune with our bodies wisdom, and more in tune with our food, and learn to eat from a more balanced state of being.

​

And it's not about being perfect, or being totally vegan, or even vegetarian.  The raw, plant-based part of your diet can be whatever YOU want it to be.  100% raw is not for everyone - not even me.

​

Let’s be honest. There are just 3 things WE ALL WANT in order for raw food to work for us:

 

  • It has to taste good – If you don’t love it, you simply won’t continue to eat it.  Period.

​

  • It has to be quick and simple to put together – Seriously, who has the time to spend hours in the kitchen  every day with a long list of ingredients?

​

  • Those ingredients have to be easy to find – Because you don’t have time to drive all over town trying to find the latest obscure super food!

Sounds simple, right?

Well, not really.  Otherwise you’d be doing it!
